I paid around $520 for this microscope. It is decent and the built in lighting helps. I'm also glad it came with a spare lamp bulb, dust cover, and five prepared slides. The images are clear using the 10x and 15x eyepieces --- however at 600x, things start to get blurry but still decent ---at 1500x - forget it, unless I'm using this thing wrong (I am new to using a microscope), it is too blurry to really make things out. Sometimes I can make things out a bit, but things are barely visible at this level. It is a sturdy microscope and seems relatively easy to use. - Oh one of the five prepared slides it came with was ...
