The shop-proven Delta 15-344 drill press is ideal for woodworking, cabinet, and metal-drilling applications and deep hole jobs like skip and gang drilling. Extra-robust spindle bearings, massive 2 inch quill, and lifetime-lubricated bearings deliver smooth, chatter-free drilling with no maintenance. A “snubber” keeps drilling speeds constant under load. The tilt-table enables positioning larger assemblies and clearing woodworking and cabinet making jigs at different angles to the drill head. Six speeds (450-4,700 RPM) enables customizing bit speed for drilling hard and soft materials from wood to metal to plastics with the 1725 RPM motor or 300-3,100 RPM speed range with a 1,140 RPM motor.
